This years Christmas has been and gone, we cannot quite believe it after all that build up. Apart from very full bellies, slightly tighter jeans and a stash of chocolates, what do we have to show for it? Without being too materialistic we thought we would give you a sneak peak into some of our favourite Cornish Christmas gifts received this year, in a hope to inspire more of you to shop local this year and support some of those wonderful sellers we have in our county.
Above you can see a very delicious and tempting looking food hamper from Richards Farm shop. This is one of my most favourite Cornish Christmas gifts from 2016, and I cannot wait to tuck in and begin using all the wonderful local produce. From popcorn, to olives, gin flavour apricots and Cornish tea it’s full to the brim with delicious foodie gifts. It’s such a great idea for a birthday or treat, you can pop along and create a hamper of any size selecting the best produce to suit the receiver.
Check our our Cornish delis and farm shops blog for local produce near you.
We went to a lot of Christmas markets, festivals and fairs so saw a lot of wonderful things this year, and the second gift on my list of Cornish Christmas gifts is in fact one I bought for myself… Slightly cheating, I know, but I couldn’t resist this wonderful pouch from ‘Wading Bird‘. This lovingly handmade purse is just the right size for my point and shoot camera, so I decided to treat myself. There are endless prints to choose from and padded textiles of all sizes, check out this cute local creator for yourself.
The next gift is from a Cornish sewer that we have met along the way who sews bags of all shapes and sizes with all the profits going to charities. I already own a campervan print shopping bag, and this years gift was a fox bag to add to my shopping collection. You can request any size, style and print, and it’s great to know that every penny goes to MIND and Childrens Hospice South West.

As well as numerous office supplies and goodies for my desk were some blogger and self employed/office based worker gifts. You’ve got to admit everyone loves a bit of stationary…
Someone who knows me very well knows that I have a guilty pleasure for watching the inspirational Youtuber Zoella. She doesn’t need much introduction seeing as she’s one of the most-watched vloggers in the world, but incase you’ve never heard of her check out her channel.
Zoella has launched her own range of stationary and gifts, which are so cute. This Christmas I received the ‘she designed a life she loved’ post-it and planner book which is going to be so useful with planning 2017! The travel mug and fingerless gloves are going to be super handy for days when I’m out and about blogging in the nippy Cornish elements.
Not a Cornish gift, but something to keep an eye out for on the Salty Songs blog in the New Year. We cannot wait to give mug cakes a try…
This one, although again not technically Cornish, it’s from a Cornish friend, so it counts! This inspirational print is for the office and is there to remind me that even when things look hard, you have to believe in yourself. You can do it.
I’ll leave this here to inspire you for the New Year ahead…
