Godrevy Cafe is perched right at the northern corner of St Ives Bay in a great position for walkers, surfers and beach goers. The sandy beach at Gwithian and Godrevy boast some of the best waves in Cornwall and when the swell arrives you will see hundreds of people taking to the sea to enjoy the action.
Godrevy Cafe is a perfect place to stop for breakfast or brunch, or for a coffee or lunch break. We can recommend almost everything on the menu, and although the queues can sometimes look a little long, the service is quick and the food so fresh!
You can sit outside on the many benches to enjoy the Cornish sun, or on those windier days you can opt for upstairs where you can still sit and people watch.
If you want a beach location to head to for brunch, then we would recommend the french toast with fresh fruit! The cakes are also very tempting so Godrevy Cafe is great for that post-surf snack when you’re in need of a little caffeine and sugar. This time we opted for the brie sandwich, chicken wrap and BLT ciabatta.
You can park right next to the Godrevy Cafe in the National Trust car park, or we prefer to park at Gwithian and walk along the beach so we can take in the sea air and stretch the legs along the way. If you’re feeling like you want to walk a little further then head out towards Godrevy Headland to marvel at the lighthouse and see if you can spot any seal pups in their cove.
