The Blue Bar is found right on the beach edge of Porthtowan Cove with uninterrupted views of the sea and surf. Ever popular with locals, beach goers, dog walkers and surfers this cafe is highly recommended.
Over the years this has been a solid favourite so we went along for brunch to sample the breakfast options in this seaside spot. We would recommend getting there early if you want a window seat with views over the beach!
Blue Bar Food
With a great little menu and a choice of daily specials there is a good selection of brunch and lunch options. We went for eggs and bacon on toast, and the bacon and syrup waffles. The serve coffee and cakes too so if you wanted to pop in for an afternoon snack this is a great place just seconds from the beach.
Blue Bar Venue
You can hire their venue for weddings, functions and office space with a large room set off to the side of the bar. They also have wi-fi access available so it’s a great place to grab a coffee and do some work if you wanted some seaside inspiration.
Porthtowan to Chapel Porth Walk
Once you’ve had your brunch at Blue Bar stretch your legs along the beach or climb the coastal path in either direction. Follow our walk along the Cornish Coast path towards the beautiful cove of Chapel Porth taking in some of the rich mining history of the area.
Just read our Porthtowan walk blog for lots of wonderful photos and the route from Blue Bar.
