It’s the most wonderful time of the year… and there’s so many Christmas events in Cornwall. We are more than excited for all these festive fun activities and days out, several mince pies were eaten whilst compiling this blog!

Ice Skating at Eden, until 19th February
One of Cornwall’s highlights in the winter months is our one and only proper ice skating rink! Available for several months it’s a great family day out teamed with exploring the biomes. You will need to have a ticket to enter Eden.
Falmouth, 27th November – 24th December
Falmouth are offering festive activities throughout December. Starting with Christmas lantern making workshop on Sunday 27th November. On Thursday 1st the Christmas lights will be switched on with Santas Grotto and late night shopping starting and commencing every Thursday in December. The weekend of the 3rd and 4th offer a decorations workshop and Christmas tree festival. On Saturday 10th there will be a Christmas Carol Concert and Santa fun run. There will be a live nativity show on the 11th and Christmas movies being shown on The Moor on the 13th and 14th. ‘Frozen’ will visit the town on the 15th, and there will be Christmas street food stalls on The Moor on Saturday 17th. On Christmas Eve expect the Falmouth Harmony Choir to sing you into Christmas…

Padstow Christmas Festival, 1st – 4th
You know the Christmas season is in full swing when this festival arrives in town. With chefs, food producers and craft stalls you can expects 10’s of thousands of people to visit Padstow during the duration. On the seaside of North Cornwall there will be lots of festival fun, cookery demonstrations, food and drinks on offer. It’s a great opportunity to make a dent in your Christmas shopping, see Santa arrive, watch fireworks, live music and carol singers. There’s also a lantern parade and santa fun run along the Camel Trail over the weekend.

Santa in St Ives, 2nd
Santa arrives into St Ives harbour with a little help from the RNLI at 6.30pm.
Etsy Christmas Fair, 2nd – 4th
Being held in St Ives Guildhall, it’s free to enter with craft workshops and live music.
Father Christmas at Bedruthan, 2nd – 22nd
The Sugar & Spice grotto at Bedruthan welcomes Santa all of December. Tickets start from £10 per child (includes admission for one adult) and can be bought here.
Santa by Steam, 3rd & 4th
Bodmin and Wenford Railway welcome Santa for a one hour journey, with elves, presents and mince pies, it’s a great family trip. Tickets are £14.50.
Nadelik (Christmas) at Pendennis, 3rd & 4th
Falmouth’s Pendennis Castle is open from 11 – 4 and are offering dancing, stories and carol signing. Tickets are £7.90 for adults, £4.70 for children and £20.50 for a family ticket.
Flambards Christmas Fayre, 3rd and 4th
Why not head to Flambards for a weekend of Christmas fun. With over 70 craft stalls on offer this is definitely one event we won’t be missing!
Santa Run at Eden, 4th
Run around The Eden Project dressed in Red for a good cause. Why Not. Organised to raise money for Cornwall Hospice South West.
Jack and The Beanstalk, 6th – 31st
Being hosted by The Hall for Cornwall, and with none other than The Kernow King taking the stage, this promises to get you giggling for Christmas. Get your tickets here.
Outlaws Christmas Market, 8th – 10th
A wonderful Christmas Market being held in Falmouth and offering everything you would expect to get you in the festive cheer. Find out more here.
Fowey Christmas Market, 9th – 11th
Lots of festive entertainment, food, drink and gifts all in the wonderful setting of Fowey. It’s known to be one of best Christmas Market in Cornwall.
Heligan Christmas Market, 10th & 11th
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are hosting many festive stalls, artisan crafts, food and pleanty of Christmas atmosphere in the count down to Christmas! Discover more here.
Hayle Harbour Christmas Market, 11th
Hayle’s first Harbou Market this one day event is going to see the quay side rammed full of Christmas stalls, food and music. Pop along from 10 – 4.
Truro Victorian Market, 13th – 18th
Truro will be home to a marquee filled to the bursting with food stalls, arts, crafts an gifts, se head back in time for a Victorian Christmas extravaganza. Find out more here.
Cinderella, 16th – 31st
You have to head to a Panto at Christmas, it’s the rules. The Princess Pavilion in Falmouth are showcasing Cinderella this year and it’s promising to be wonderful.
Christmas Shopping Penzance, 17th & 18th
St Johns Hall in Penzance are holding a christmas gifts, food and shopping event from 10 – 4.30pm.
The Mousehole Cat, 17th December – 7th January
Being shown in the Solomon Browne Memorial Hall in Mousehole. The Mousehole Cat is one of those stories you grow up with in Cornwall, so to see it come to life will be magical. For tickets and to find out more head here.
Robin Hood, 22nd – 29th
