The Christmas Lights in Cornwall are almost on! It’s getting to that time in November where more and more of us are talking about Christmas. The festive adverts have started trickling on to the television so it’s getting harder to ignore.
For those festive Scrooges you need to accept Christmas is coming, with the lights in Cornwall being switched on in a matter of days for most of the county.
Here’s where to see of all the Cornish Christmas light switch ons this year!
Camborne, 8th November
With entertainment and activities from 11am, the town will be in full festive countdown, with the Christmas lights being switched on at 4.30pm.
22nd November Postponed
The City of Lights Parade has been postponed until January, but the lights will be switched on a week later, on Wednesday 29th November!

Penzance, 25th November
There’s a Christmas Market from 10am with the Penzance lights being switched on at 4.30pm. The local shops are taking part in a window display competition, and there will be live music and bands throughout the day.
Camelford, 25th November
With a firework display to celebrate the Christmas season.
Falmouth, 30th November
The local school children join together in a parade through the town down to The Moor for the Christmas lights switch on.
Bodmin, 1st December
The children parade from 6.30pm down to Mount Folly where there will be Christmas carols and the lights turned on in Bodmin at 7pm.
Looe, 1st December
There are two processions, one from East and West Looe with carols beginning at 6.30, the Looe Christmas lights will be turned on at 7pm.
Helston, 1st December
Helston Christmas lights will be turned on at 7.30pm with a Santas Grotto for the children and a firework display.
St Ives, 2nd December
Santa arrives in the harbour at 3pm with a parade and light switch on from 6pm.
Mevagissey, 2nd December
The Christmas lights will be turned on at 6pm in Mevagissey.
Angarrack, 2nd December
One of our favourite collection on Christmas lights in Cornwall, the Angarrack lights are turned on at 7pm. Gather for a visit from Santa and the story of the ’12 Days of Christmas’ in lights throughout the village. Top tip – walk into the village from Hayle to avoid the gridlock.

Padstow, 3rd December
The Padstow lights are turned on at 6pm with carol singers on the harbour band stand.
Coverack, 9th December
Starting from 6.30pm with carols, a lantern parade and Father Christmas.
Newlyn, 15th December
A very ‘fishy’ inspired collection of Christmas lights.
Mousehole, 16th December
Being turned on at 6pm at the quaint seaside cove, expect large crowds in the run up to Christmas.
Cadgwith, 16th December
Celebrate Christmas in the wonderful little fishing village on the Lizard.
