Emily’s in Truro is a quaint eatery offering the perfect spot to stop for coffee, treats or to use as a workplace. Found just a short stroll from the main shopping streets there’s space to sit outside, upstairs or to takeaway.
Emily’s are happy to welcome people who want to just sit and read, study or work, with great wifi access and a list of delicious snacks and treats to keep you fuelled.
We chose to spend a few hours working away from the office and Emily’s was the perfect find.
The menu is subject to change throughout the seasons but we went for the blueberry pancakes as good old fashion ‘brain food’ for our morning work session. Everything is lovingly made from scratch with local ingredients if they can. Ask for a recommendation if you’re not sure, but the ‘crumpwiches’ sound interesting for next time…
What’s even better is that if you live or work nearby Emily’s offer a delivery service outside of peak hours. Just call, text or WhatsApp your order and they will bring it straight to you!
With comfy chairs, large tables and outside space there’s something for everyone no matter the reason for your visit. We arrived during the busy morning coffee rush so to begin with the background noise may be too much for those looking for a quiet work environment. But by late morning we were the only table upstairs which may appeal to people looking for a quiet corner. The outside space is also perfect for those warmer days when you want to catch some of the suns rays.
There’s plenty of electric sockets and the wifi is free, fast and easy to access so if you need somewhere to connect next time you’re in Truro head along, grab a coffee and relax!
Find Emily’s at 20 River Street, TR1 2SQ. See their full menu on the Emily’s website.
