Polgoon Vineyard are putting on some very festive Wine and Song afternoons in the run up to Christmas. They are the perfect excuse to pop along for a bit of Christmas gift shopping, or to stock up the cupboards (and fridge) with locally made produce in preparation for your Turkey Dinner!
There’s obviously wonderful Polgoon mulled wine and cider on offer with some scrumptious mince pies to help you get into the Christmas mood. A range of local choirs and singers will be performing some of your favourite carols underneath the grape vines and fairy lights.
What’s on at Polgoon
We visited on the first Saturday to pick up a few Christmas essentials and listen to the Mounts Bay Singers! They created a wonderful shopping experience, with the mulled wine definitely helping us get in the Christmas mood.
Polgoon is open from 9 – 5.30pm every day except Sunday where they are open from 10 – 5pm. But to experience a more festive shopping atmosphere head along from 3 – 5pm on a Saturday or Sunday.
Here’s who to expect at Polgoon Vineyard for the next two weekends!
Saturday 9th – Marazion Apollo, Worthy Cheddar and Borgia Bull
Sunday 10th – The Land & Sea Singers
Saturday 16th – Penzance Community Choir, Dukkah Dipping Sands, Kernow Inferno and Borgia Bull
Sunday 17th – Laudate Chamber Choir and Revolver Rum.
Ladydowns Christmas Trees, a local tree grower, will be selling beautiful trees right outside the Polgoon Vineyard shop. So don’t forget to pick yours up soon, the Christmas countdown has begun…
