St Ives is one of those dreamy places where every time you visit it feels like a holiday. With perfect artist light, quaint cobbled streets and oodles of character it’s hard not to fall in love. We often pop in for the day when the sun is shining as it feels like the perfect holiday destination.
We visited during the early Easter sunshine and found The Searoom right on the harbour front of St Ives. This cute little cafe perched just yards from the golden sandy beach serves breakfast, coffee, cakes, and lots of seafood on their menu.
We popped in for a refreshing drink after a morning strolling around town and grabbed a seat outside in the sun.
You cannot ask for a better location. As well as lots of inside seats with a sea view, The Searoom has the added bonus of seating right on the harbourside with uninterrupted views of the beach, sea, boats, and over towards Porthminster.
We opted for the homemade lemonade and it was perfect for the weather seeing as people were on the beach in bikinis and swimming in the sea! The lunchtime options look wonderful and lots of people were tucking into delicious locally inspired seafood snacks.
We were saving room for an ice cream before we left, but next time we’re passing we will definitely try out one of the cakes, or a cream tea…
If you’re in St Ives make sure you hunt out this little gem found towards Smeatons Pier end of the harbour. Take a walk around St Ives in our short video and see if you can spot The Searoom on the harbourside.
Find them at 1 Wharf House, The Wharf TR26 1PG and visit their website here.
